Welcome to Serious Fun Studios... This site is dedicated to sharing the beauty 
and awesome intricacy of fractals. All images in this site were created / 'discovered' during 
over twenty-five years of travels through the 'inner space' dimension of fractal nature,  
and are but a tiny sampling of the literally infinite variety of amazingly involved form and 
beauty existing there (and all around us...). As mathematics is the descriptive language 
of existence and potential, so are fractal images the visual 'songs' expressing that natural 
essence through color / form / involvement; everywhere; unseen, continually waiting for wonder...

~ what are fractals? ~
                
Very simplistically put, fractals are images formed from certain types of mathematical
equations. They possess the quality of infinite resolution; that is, they can be zoomed
into infinitely and still retain the same (infinite) amount of detail.

Since this site is centered on the aesthetic and naturally artistic aspects of fractals,I'll leave
the more complete (and technical) descriptions to some of the many fine siteson the internet
devoted to fractals (just search 'fractals'; also see the 'links' page).

Here is a link to the web version of the PBS Nova program about fractals... This show gives a very good 
overview of fractals and their discovery, and their appearance in nature, with many beautiful examples.

All images shown on this  on this site were created by me, Scott Bricker. My main interest  is 
producing high quality, vibrantly colored wall art (prints and posters); especially in a wide format.
Most fractals contain highly involved, very intricate details that are best seen in large, high resolution 
prints.This level of intricacy is generally lost at monitor resolutions. They are truly amazing...
